The ‘CHIEF FAS’ system is coming to an end and is being replaced in October 2022 with system called ‘CASH ACCOUNT’.
HMRC are encouraging all companies who are VAT registered and use the old FAS facility to set up a ‘CASH ACCOUNT’ as soon as possible.
Any customer wishing to use a ‘Cash Account’ needs to ensure their company has a ‘Government Gateway’ account and that the QFS EORI number has been added to the authorisations.

STEP 1
If you do not already have a Government Gateway login, follow the link to create one:

STEP 2
Sign into your Government Gateway and register for CDS ( you will need your EORI number).
Subscribe to the Customs Declaration Service – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
STEP 3
Use this link to log into Government Gateway. Once logged in on the main screen go to ‘Manage your account’, then ‘Authorities’ then add the QFS EORI number to the account.
